How would the railroad affect their lives, not to mention the lives of all the French voyageurs and Mexican miners also on the U.S. Northwest Passage?

Before long, people from all cultures are working for the railroad, laying track, and moving westward through desert and mountains, all the way to the Pacific Ocean...

Kit contents “The Great Northern Railroad” is an interdisciplinary tool for integrating the arts with social studies and reading comprehension standards at the intermediate elementary to middle school levels.
